Public concern is a material planning issue and a personal signed letter
is your most powerful way of saying NO!
Please write to Planning Department, Hart District Council, Harlington
Way, Fleet, GU51 4AE. Quote new reference 07/03197/major
and ensure to include the words ‘I object’ with reasons for objection
and your home address.
This is a new planning application and previous objections are no
longer valid*.
Please ask every adult in your household to object separately.
An alternative method of objecting is to use the online
form:
Here is the easy way to object:
Step 1:
Click here to go to the Pyestock mega depot online planning
application casefile
Step 2: Click on the ‘Comment On Application’ button near the top of the
webpage
Step 3: Ensure you click on ‘Object to the proposal’ and complete the
required information, with
your reasons for objection in ‘Your comment’ section. Press the
Submit button and you
have now objected – thank you
Some reasons for objecting:
Please decide on the reasons you
wish to object and use your own wording (personalised
objections have more standing)
-
Excessive traffic generation with HGVs, LGVs and cars x
24 hours a day x 7 days a week
-
Continuous and significant noise, air and light pollution
-
The resulting buildings would be massive, unsightly and
spoil the visual amenity of the area
-
The development would have a disproportionate negative
impact on our quality of life, including residential and conservation
areas (e.g. Fleet Pond Nature Reserve, SSSIs, SPA)
-
Conflicts with local policy as it will significantly
damage the rural character and open nature of the location forever
-
Unsustainable development, conflicts with national and
regional policy, more appropriate locations with sustainable rail
freight should be considered
-
The massive over development would result in urban sprawl
and destroy the protected Strategic Gap between Farnborough and Fleet
Other massive unsustainable
developments have been refused elsewhere in the country, so object to
the irreversible impact of this 24 x 7 mega depot. Act Today! - Hart
Council will not be able to consider objections if they arrive too late.
You do not need to live or work in Hart to object.
Further general planning consideration information is
available from the Hart website,

*unless the council believes your
previous objection is still relevant. However, the council do not
define what is relevant, so please object to the new plan to ensure your
concerns are noted. |
