Latest News: 9/05/10: Two Day Judicial Review on 26 - 27 May

The Judicial Review will allow a judge to decide whether a newly appointed junior minister correctly considered all the material options when he overruled the government’s professional advisor recommendation to reject the mega depot plans.

Planning inspector, Christina Downes, had previously produced a comprehensive report which stated:

"This is a finely balanced case but it is my overall conclusion that the identified environmental harm is of overriding importance and for this reason alone I recommend that both appeals be dismissed"

The court accommodation will likely restrict public access during the two day hearing.

It is not yet known how long the judge will take to make his decision.

We will provide an update when the relevant information is made available and hope the judge is considerate to the material options and the planning inspector’s recommendations.
